What is Therapy and Counselling?

A safe, confidential place to talk about anything in your life that maybe painful, uncomfortable and pulling you down. You are able to talk to someone who is trained to actively listen to you and offer customised resolutions to improve how you’re feeling. It helps in developing strategies for dealing with life’s challenges.

How will therapy make me feel?

Therapy is a very personal process. Talking about painful feelings and getting support will make you feel lighter and brighter.

How long will it take for me to become fine?

It is difficult to put a time cap on it. It’s all about finding the right fit and sticking to it. In simpler terms, when you hurt yourself physically, you feel pain. Recovery depends on various factors such as what injury it is (a muscle pull or ligament tear or a fracture), how long has it been there for, follow corrective procedures diligently (whether it is physiotherapy or putting an ointment), how much rest you allow it to heal and your age. It’s similar when it comes to the mind. Depending on the issue to be dealt with at hand, it could take a few weeks to a year to resolve it.

How long is each session? How often do i need to come?

Each session lasts approximately 1 hour. Consistency is important in any therapeutic work to see benefits. The sessions usually take place once a week or as advised.
